ZIM’s OWN ‘BONY & CLYDE’ APPEAR IN COURT
A Chitungwiza couple was arrested for stealing from a parked car at Fourth Street bus terminus.
The duo Jesca Mambinge and Learnmore Chikowo pleaded guilty when they appeared before Harare Magistrate Victoria Mashamba facing allegations of theft.
The State led by Motion Mudziwepasi is alleging that on September 24 last year, the complainant Rudo Chamunorwa was sleeping in the front seat of a Toyota Raum at Fourth Street Rank when the duo connived and approached her vehicle.
They opened the unlocked door and took her handbag which contained $350 and a Samsung S6 Edge cellphone and fled.
Investigations were conducted and Mambinge was arrested as she was using the stolen phone and upon questioning she implicated Chikowo leading to his arrest.
The two were remanded in custody and are set to appear in court on February 23.
