Zimbabwe President Officially Renames More Roads After Himself

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has renamed more roads across Zimbabwe’s towns and cities after himself. President Mnangagwa’s government renamed at least nine roads after the President following an extensive renaming of roads across the country.

The renaming of roads was gazetted in Statutory Instrument (SI) 167 of 2020.

Last year, the government renamed roads in the country’s two largest cities, Harare and Bulawayo. The authorities have since extended the renaming of roads to Bindura, Chegutu, Chipinge, Gweru, Kwekwe, Masvingo and Mutare. This means that each of these towns and cities will have a road called Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
