Zimbabwe COVID-19 Update 03 January 2022
Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 03 January 2022:
- 1 209 New Cases (All local) and 15 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases rises to 1 520 from 1 503 (yesterday).
- Vaccination Update: 3 431 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 136 295, 3 631 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 147 659 while 556 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 6 508.
- As of 02 January 2022, 1500hrs there were 332 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (27), Asymptomatic 60, mild to moderate 227, severe 58 and 6 in Intensive Care Units.
- 7 173 tests done today (Positivity today was 16.9%)
- 2 333 new recoveries: National Recovery rate rises to 86% & Active cases go down 25 446.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 216 087 Cases 185 594 recoveries & 5 047 Deaths.
