Zimbabwe COVID-19 Cases Breach 5000 Benchamark

One hundred and twenty-four people tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday, 8 August 2020, the Ministry of Health and Child Care has announced.

Eighty two new COVID-19 cases were recorded today (August 14, 2020), bringing the total number of cumulative cases to 5072.

According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care’s (MoHCC) daily COVID-19 update, all the 82 cases were local infections and no deaths were recorded.

“82 new cases and no deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. All 82 were local cases. Zimbabwe goes past 5000 cases and active cases have gone up to 2946 today. 71 new recoveries were recorded. As of August 14 2020, Zimbabwe has now recorded 5072 cases ad 128 deaths,” said the Sitrep.
