ZACC Arrests Anglican Bishop
Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC) has made yet another arrest in its latest corruption blitz.
According to reports reaching ZiMetro News Desk, Manicaland Diocese Anglican Bishop, Eric Ruwona, has been arrested by ZACC Officers for allegedly profiteering from the compulsory sale of Bibles and hymn books to desperate pupils seeking places at Anglican schools in the province.
The Bishop is currently detained at Mutare Central Police Station and is expected to appear in court tomorrow. Allegations are that the cleric would force pupils seeking places at the schools to pay a staggering $800 for the Holy Bible.
It is alleged that those who failed to pay were turned away.
Bishop Ruwona was arrested following a tip-off by frustrated parents.
