Woman Shot During #ShutdownZimbabwe Protest Alive And Recovering
The unfortunate Epworth woman who was filmed while being pushed in a wheelbarrow on Monday after allegedly being shot by soldiers is alive and recovering well.
According to Zimbabwe Doctors for Human Rights, the woman identified as Patricia Kamuriwo is in a stable condition after undergoing surgery.
This follows after rumors started circulating that she had died as a result of the shooting however one of the doctors Edgar Munetsi treating her refuted the rumors.
This is not true. She is stable and recovering well after the surgery, we (ZADHR) have just seen her moments ago. She is stable and appreciating our efforts. While the gvt’s gross violation of human rights is evident, spreading fake news is not the way’ he tweeted.
