Warriors to observe a moment of silent on Sunday
Zifa has announced that the national team will observe a moment of silence in honour of the victims of the deadly Cyclone Idai.
The natural disaster which affected the Eastern part of the country has claimed hundreds of lives while several people are still missing.
Zifa confirmed on Saturday morning that CAF has allowed them to honour the victims in the coming match.
“CAF has allowed Zimbabwe and Congo observe a moment of silence on Sunday to honour victims of Cyclone Idai.” the association said in a statement on social media.
The encounter will be played at National Sports Stadium in Harare. Zimbabwe needs at least a draw to book their place at Afcon finals set for Egypt in June.
Congo, on the other hand, wants nothing short of a victory to qualify.
