Drama as the family of a man shot by police pass by the police station to the cemetery: Video. Paul Munakopa, a 34-year-old man who was shot by police on Saturday has been buried. His family, on its way to the cemetery, passed by Hillside Police Station where they wept bitterly.
Munakopa was shot around 10 pm along Caithness Road in Hillside and he succumbed to gunshot wounds at United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) in the early hours of Sunday.
Paul’s spouse who was with the deceased when he was shot, says the police did not fire warning shots and they said this was because the duo did not stop when the police tried to stop them.
Meanwhile, national police spokesman Paul Nyathi said that the matter was still under investigation.
