Museveni once stopped his motorcade to make a phone call
In 2016 Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, once stopped a whole motorcade, took out a chair and a stool in the middle of the road just to make a phone call.
The photos went viral, showing President Museveni seated in a camping chair during a phone call with his motorcade of over eight vehicles parked meters away.
Museveni made the rare spectacle while on his way back to State House in Kampala after attending World Population Day celebrations in Isingiro, western Uganda.
He stopped over at Kyeirumba village for a call that lasted 30 minutes and later greeted the locals who had mulled nearby.
Ugandan government spokesman Ofwono Opondo shared the images, reminiscent of Museveni’s days as a guerrilla fighter, but gave no information on the person who was on the other end of the phone call.
This is interesting and indicates how safe Uganda is. I don’t think many Presidents/leaders can even indulge in such thoughts talk less of doing the same.
