THEY WON’T BREAK ME, UK-BASED ZIMBA | A UK based politician who was arrested for addressing journalists in Bulawayo says “they won’t break me” as he was remanded out of custody yesterday.
Innocent Ndibali of the Zimbabwe Economic Freedom Fighters (ZEFF) had applied for refusal of remand. Ndibali (38) who holds a British passport, was told by a magistrate that he must stand trial.
“Although the State has failed to prove that there was a reasonable suspicious that accused person committed the offence, it is clear that he breached the conditions of his holiday visa by engaging in politics by holding a Press Conference to market his political party.
Accordingly, accused is placed on remand pending trial,” the magistrate said.
