A Buhera teenager was on Saturday arrested for allergically killing three elderly people accusing them of killing his father sixteen years ago.
Energy Chipinda, 18, is now facing murder charges and expected to appear in court soon.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest urging members of the public to respect the sanctity of life.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating a murder case involving an 18-year-old man suspected to have killed three people in Buhera,” said Ass Comm Nyathi.
“Circumstances are that Energy Chipinda is suspected to have broken the door into the kitchen and attacked Enna Hlabati, 80, Tak Cbitsanza, 86, and Milia Chinotimba, 74, using a burning firewood log.
“Chipinda accused the victims of killing his father Johaan Chipinda who died sixteen years ago claiming he had been accused of stealing one of the victims’ sheep,” said Ass Comm Nyathi.
