Stranded Man Refuses To Be Rescued From Cyclone Floods As He Holds On To Bicycle And Pump
The Zimbabwe sub aqua police unit was met with quite a surprise when some of the trapped cyclone Idai victims refused to be rescued and preferred to hold on to their property instead.
The sub aqua unit had to swim across the dangerous, flowing waters to reach the victims who were stranded for three days on the other side, only to be rebuffed as they preferred to hold on to their bicycle, pump, generator and wheelbarrow.
They were afraid of leaving the items behind in case they would be stolen while they were whisked to safety.
