Small House Accuses Lover’s Wife Of Kidnapping Her But Fails To Substantiate Claims
A small house from Bulawayo, Pauline Matseketsa from Thokozani Flats in Mzilikazi, applied for a peace order at the Bulawayo Civil Court alleging that her lover’s wife had kidnapped her and forcibly detained her for more than 3 hours.
Pauline also claimed that Patricia Phephetha the wife of her lover Lethu Phephetha was threatening her with violence and death after she discovered that Patricia had a child with her husband and was receiving maintenance.
In her court papers, Pauline said,
Sometime in 2017, Patricia Phephetha kidnapped me with my nine-month-old baby from a bus terminus near Thorngrove to a bushy area after United College of Education, where she detained me for about three hours. This was after she had discovered I had a child with her husband Lethu Phephetha.
After she learnt that I had taken her husband to the Maintenance Court in December 2018, she started threatening to kidnap me again and subsequently kill me. I am now living in fear since she has kidnapped me before. I am now praying for a peace order so that she stops threatening me or visiting my workplace.
However, on the day of the hearing, Pauline did not show up at the courts. As a result, presiding magistrate Franklin Mkwananzi dismissed the matter.
