Robbers whip woman’s buttocks, rob her
A woman from Pelandaba West suburb in Bulawayo had her buttocks whipped with a rope by a gang of robbers who reportedly robbed her of US$60.
The incident happened on Tuesday this week at around 7pm.
A source close to the incident said while the woman was walking through a graveyard going to her home tragedy befell her.
“Four men pounced on her, one of the guys grabbed her by her hand before stuffing a piece of cloth into her mouth.
The other guy bashed her on her buttocks several times with a rope while ordering her to surrender all the money she had on her,” said a source.
The source went on to say the robbers pushed the unfortunate woman onto the ground and seized her handbag from her tight grip.
“The bag contained US$60 and other particulars. They fled with it leaving her lying on the ground,” said the source.
She reported the matter at Pumula Police Station.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and urged community members never to use footpaths saying they were a haven for criminals.
Teen suffocates inside fuel tanker
A 19-YEAR-OLD from Pumula South in Bulawayo suffocated while his cousin was hospitalised after they went into a fuel tank to clean it in Kelvin North industrial site on Saturday.
