Parents withdraw pupils as SATANISM saga hits school
Trelawney Primary School in Zvimba South has failed to open for the school first term of 2018 as parents demand the transfer of a teacher alleged to be practicing Satanism.
A Satanism scare hit the school during the last week of the third term last year, prompting parents to stage a demonstration calling for the alleged teacher’s transfer.
The allegations saw pupils purporting that they saw a snake enter the hand bag of the teacher while others claimed their faces changed form upon contact with the said teacher.
Now the parents have taken a decision to withdraw their children from the school until the suspected Satanist leaves the institution.
A team from the provincial education directorate was expected to visit the school this Wednesday for a fact finding mission after which they will map a way forward.
