OF Long Hair, Beauty, Maintenance!
It is my hope that I find you well and in the festive mood. As for women, it is that time of the year that we go an extra mile in trying to look good. However, one can’t look beautiful without proper maintenance of hair.
There is a lot to talk about when it comes to hair, but I am so much tempted to talk about ways to make your hair grow faster which is every woman’s desire though some prefer it short. For some women, enviably long hair just happens, but for the rest of us, tweaking certain aspects of our day to day beauty routine must be made.
Whether by using a different hairbrush, adjusting how often you use a hair dryer, adding vitamin to the mix, or sleeping on silky pillowcase (yes really), there are several steps that can be done to achieve long, lus-trous locks, check out these pro tips to guide you in the right direction ( longer hair).
HOW TO MAKE YOUR HAIR GROW FASTER
• GET FREQUENT TRIMS
Yes really! It may seem counter-intuitive, but if you want long hair that’s actually healthy, you need reg-ular trims. Getting rid of split ends makes your hair grow faster. A split end can make your hair lose length not to mention shine, volume and smoothness. Just make sure you trim and if you want to know how long can you go between trims keep following this blog.
• RESIST THE URGE TO GO BLONDE
As chic as platinum hair looks, going from a darker shade to a light blonde shade can stand in between you and the longest possible hair you can get. When the cuticle of the hair is damaged from bleach, you can have more broken hair and split ends. The fewer chemical treatments, the better the hair growth.
• DISTRIBUTE YOUR HAIR’S NATURAL OILS
Going to bed with underbrush hair may seem tempting when you are tired, but giving your hair a few quick strokes can be great for its health.
Distribute oil starting from the scalp going uproot with a perfect smooth hair brush. This simple ritual helps increase circulation, which makes your scalp healthier
• EAT THE RIGHT FOODS
Having long strong hair doesn’t just depend on which products you use on your hair, it also depends on what you put into your body. To promote hair growth you need to feed hair from the inside. Try increasing your protein intake with foods like nuts, beans, fish and whole grain. Also eat foods high in vitamins such as vitamin A, C and E, minerals like zinc and iron and omega-3 fatty acids, can contribute to healthy hair.
• AVOID HEAT STYLING TOOLS
This one is self-explanatory, stop styling your hair with heat, however if a need arises decrease tempera-ture or use heat protectors otherwise you risk damaging your hair leading to breakage and frizz.
• FINISH YOUR SHOWER WITH A COOL RINSE
A super steamy shower isn’t just bad for your skin — it’s also rough on your hair. Turn the water temper-ature down when cleansing and rinse with cool water as this strengthens hair cuticles.
• BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU BRUSH WET HAIR
Hair is especially susceptible to breakage when it’s wet, but ifyou absolutely must get some knots out post shower, make sure to use a brush that will go easy on your strands.
• STOP DOING TRENDY CLEANSES
Doing a cleanse is terrible for your hair because you are depriving your hair of nutrients. After doing a cleanse even for a week you will notice slower hair growth.
• SLEEP ON SILKY PILLOWCASES
As crazy as it may sound I know most of you are wondering how a pillowcase helps the hair. Silk is eas-ier on hair, it helps avoid tangles and breakages. The less the breakage the longer the hair.
In as much as people have also switched to short hair, long hair in humans helps conserve body heat. Also it enhances beauty in women in so many ways. Till we meet again next week… Happy holidays!!
