Nutty O braces for dance with the big boys
NUTTY O will on Saturday share the stage with Jah Prayzah and Winky D at the Harare International Conference Centre.
Aptly named Redefined Concert @ HICC, the event, which parades Zimbabwe’s showbiz stalwarts, both on home front and abroad, is a must-attend for fans. Gateway Stream Music is behind the show.
What has raised the appeal of the event is that it also comes at a time when Nutty O has been getting both praise and prizes for his creative edge.
And for the Mbare-bred chanter to be sharing the stage with Winky and Jah Prayzah, it’s not only a triumph for him but an endorsement as one of the country’s finest.
“I’m ready for the show. I just promise to deliver the best I can.
“I have been waiting for this moment,” he said.
Nutty O, who has impressed every time he has performed at the venue, said the show was his defining moment.
“I am promising to do my best since I always strive to deliver my best,” said the crooner.
“It’s a great feeling sharing the stage with them. These guys are legends and what more could I ask for,” he said.
As a torch-bearer among the new school of musicians, Nutty explained how he intended to maintain the touch.
“Hard work, consistency, and applying wisdom of the craft is the only way around this.
“It’s up to God. I have the right abilities but God will determine the rise or the fall,” he added.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Gateway Stream Music manager, Elton Kurima, who assured fans of a great show.
“It’s all systems go for the event set to showcase some of the finest artists we have at the moment.
“All the artists on the banner are ready for the event and we are pleased with the uptake of advance tickets.
“The advance tickets are pegged at US$20 for the ordinary seat and US$50 for VIP.”
“As Gateway Stream Music, we have been longing to host such shows and the Redefined Concert is one of the gigs that we hope will certainly be the talk of the town.
“We are also happy that fans will be guaranteed of quality at this show which comes by public demand.
“This is a rare show where you get to see the trio performing under one roof and fans should come in numbers since variety is guaranteed here.”
Popular club wheel-spinner, DJ Iroq, will provide cover.
Emcees, Abisha Palmer and KVG, will host the event.
Winky D has never disappointed each time he has performed at HICC while Jah Prayzah is a symbol of consistency.
