Nigerian Superstar Offers Massive Deal To Zimbabwean Artists
Nigerian musician, Mr Eazi real name (Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade) has made a call to upcoming Zimbabwean artists on twitter offering to provide them with resources and exposure to launch their careers through his ‘Empawa’ masterclass.
The young entrepreneur is offering 10 spots for emerging artists in Zimbabwe and other countries through Empawa, an initiative designed to empower and support upcoming African talents across 7 countries by sponsoring of their music videos.
Empawa is open to artistes from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, and Zimbabwe. Artists have until December 15 to post their videos singing either cover versions or original songs via Instagram using the hashtag ‘Empawa’.

The young artist is among a generation of African artists who have turned the spotlight on contemporary African music also referred to as Afrobeats, has worked with big names such as English pop star Raye and renowned producer Diplo of Major Lazer.
Mr Eazi who was in the country over the weekend, for a performance at the Ammartia Ignite concert at Glamis arena on Friday with barefoot goddess Ammara Brown, said that the success of his career is credited to people who where benevolent towards him and Empawa is a way of returning the gesture.
“I have been low-key helping people just like people helped me and this time I just said, let’s turn it into something,” said Mr Eazi.
