Ndinyengeiwo Girl, Summoned By ZRP For Questioning
It seems like there is never a dull day in the life of Lorraine Guyo after she was summoned by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) to answer questions about a “video” circulating on social media.
Lorraine became an overnight sensation in February when a video she made in jest appealing for men to propose to her before Valentine’s day went viral.
However, the viral video also brought woes for Lorraine as she was suspended from work for bringing disrepute to her workplace.
A video showing a woman who recorded herself also surfaced on the internet and started being circulated with people alleging that the woman in the video was Lorraine.
When she was asked about the video she denied the allegations and said that she had heard that the video in question, may have been taken from a website where it was titled “Bridget from Ghana”. However, the screenshot which purportedly showed that the video was taken from the website seems to have been doctored as the original image was replaced by the woman in the bathroom. A search for the video using the exact search terms on the website shows a completely different.
Local publication H-Metro reports that the police are not satisfied that the woman in the video is not Lorraine and have already summoned her for questioning at the police inspectorate. The interview with the police has been scheduled for this morning.
Lorraine has been maximising on her newfound celebrity status and has quit her job after she was offered endorsement deals and brand ambassadorships for a number of labels.
This also raises questions on whether former Studio 263 actor Denzel Burutsa, popularly known as Jabu, and a whole host of other people who have videos which have been leaked will also be called in for questioning.
