MUTSVANGWA REVEALS THE REAL REASON HE WAS APPOINTED

Special advisor to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Christopher Mutsvangwa, said he was appointed the Zanu PF secretary for science and technology to cause Jonathan Moyo “pain”.

Moyo, who is now reportedly in exile following last month’s coup, was Zanu PF secretary for science and technology- a post now held by Mutsvangwa. He was also the minister of higher education.

Mutsvangwa and Moyo do not see eye-to-eye and were always attacking each other prior to the coup which assisted Mnangagwa and the army to force Robert Mugabe out of power last month.

“This was done just to make sure that Jonathan Moyo feels the pain,” Mutsvangwa told a Christmas dinner held in Norton by Member of Parliament, Temba Mliswa, recently. Mutsvangwa, who is also the leader of the war veterans’ association, also said since his appointment, Moyo was avoiding to debate with him on social media.

“I have been saying to Jonathan Moyo that can you come for a debate to show the people who has a point of view and he refused to have debate with me. Maybe if we had debated he could have been defeated in the debate but not defeated out of the country. So he made a mistake and he is gone,” said Mutsvangwa.

Moyo is always on social media where he continues to attack the Mnangagwa administration which he says staged a coup against a legitimate former head of state-Mugabe.

Mutsvangwa said Moyo and his Zanu-PF faction (G40) which was defeated by President Mnangagwa’s Lacoste faction in the succession battle, was gone forever.

“The G-40 is gone and we have a new President who has the people of this country at heart,” he said.
