Mutasa cries foul
Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa believes his youngsters put a good show despite losing to Chicken Inn but feels the goal they conceded was preceded by a foul on Marshall Machazane.
The Gamecocks scored the only goal of the match six minutes into the second half through Obadiah Tarumbwa. Speaking after the match, Mutasa said there was a deliberate push on his defender Machazane in the build-up to Tarumbwa’s goal.
“It’s tough luck for us, we lost it, but I want to applaud my youngsters. They put up a good show,” said Mutasa.
“But there are some moments in a game where you feel you are hard done, but such is football. From where I was, the goal that was scored I saw a deliberate push on Machazane, who went on to lose the ball. It’s just unfortunate that we failed to score and got punished.”
The gaffer concluded by saying that they will regroup and shift their focus to the next game against Shabanie Mine at home.
