Mukuruva resurfaces in USA
Tatenda Mukuruva has resurfaced in the USA after quietly completed a move to Michigan Stars from Zambian top-flight side Buildcon.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper moved overseas a few months ago to join the American club which plays in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), according to The Standard.
The NPSL is a fourth-tier league on the United States soccer pyramid, behind Major League Soccer (MLS), the USL Championship (USLC) and the USL League One (USL1).
Mukuruva made a name for himself during his time at Dynamos three years ago and earned a call-up to the national team for the 2017 Afcon finals.
He moved to Cape Town City after the tournament but had an unsuccessful spell in the ABSA Premiership. He transferred to Zambia the following season and quickly settled there, becoming BuildCon’s first-choice keeper.
