Mnangagwa takes three weeks leave, Chiwenga acting President
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has taken a three-week annual leave which he will spend largely at his Precabe farm in Sherwood near Kwekwe, his office has advised.
A statement issued by Deputy Chief Secretary for Presidential Communications in the Office of the President and Cabinet, George Charamba, says President Mnangagwa started his annual leave yesterday, 13 January 2022, and it runs on until 5 February, 2022.
“He will spend his break in the country, largely at his farm,” Charamba explained.
Precabe farm in Sherwood, Kwekwe, is a 405-hectare farm, where the President grows mainly wheat, maize and other cash crops.
Meanwhile, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga will be the acting President.
