The Minister of Agriculture Perence Shiri heaped praises on President Emmerson Mnangagwa for removing police road blocks and descending hard on their leadership in the new dispensation.
Addressing Zanu PF supporters in Guruve South at Horse Shoe Secondary school yesterday Shiri said people should respect Mnangagwa for bringing sanity in Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP).
“We should respect the president for liberating us from the police who were now tax collectors on road blocks the new era brought happiness to us as we are now free from police fleecing,” said Shiri.
Shiri blasted Chihuri for tarnishing the image of the police hence the resignation from his shameful deeds after Mnangagwa got into power.
“We do not blame our police officers , we blame the leadership that was there because our officers were acting on orders given by their superior but l can safely tell you now the leadership that was fostering crime is gone hence let us support our president.”
Apparently, president Mnangagwa is set to address his star rally in Bindura on Saturday after three attempts that were not successful this year.
