Mliswa to name and shame cartels
Norton Member of the House of Assembly Temba Mliswa (INDEPENDENT) will today hold a press conference in Harare where he will name and shame the cartels that are causing untold suffering.
Mliswa, who is not new to controversy, made the announcement yesterday via social media.
The issue of cartels has been under discussion for much of the beginning of the year 2020, with Zanu-PF suspending two youth leaders and demoting another after they participated in the naming and shaming of individuals they believed were running corrupt cartels.
Former Zanu-PF Youth League political commissar Godfrey Tsenengamu and deputy secretary Lewis Matutu were suspended from the party after shaming Kudakwashe Tagwirei (Sakunda Holdings), Billy Rautenbach (Green Fuel) and Tafadzwa Musarara (Grain Millers Association of Zimbabwe chairperson) as individuals bleeding the country’s economy by engaging in corrupt activities.
Among the economic sectors where cartels are said to flourish is fuel, grain, basic commodities, pharmaceuticals and cash vending on the streets.
