MDC Blames Mnangagwa Government For ‘Crippling’ Local Authorities
A member of the MDC Youth Assembly, Godfrey Kurauone has blamed President Emmerson Mnangagwa’ s government for deliberately crippling development initiatives in local authorities.
Kurauone is also the councillor for ward 4, Masvingo Urban Constituency. Ironically last month Mnangagwa claimed the MDC led local had dismally failed to serve their respective communities. Mnangagwa described MDC councillors as self centred criminals.
In a direct response to Mnangagwa’ s remarks, Kurauone told local residents the councillors’ efforts to implement community projects were being frustrated by the central government.
“Our efforts to carry out community projects are being frustrated by bottlenecks in the present government structures.
We hope that our president Nelson Chamisa will win the July 30 plebiscite. In actual fact we know that he will win.The MDC Government will therefore do away with unnecessary bureaucratic tendencies,” said Kurauone.
