MDC A abducted activists appear in court

At 11:15, Joana Mamombe, Cecilia Chimbiru and Netsai Marova appeared at Harare Magistrates Court for the hearing of the state’s bid to vary their bail conditions so that they surrender their passports because Zimbabwe Police claims it is apprehensive they intend to escape from Zim.

The trio, charged for allegedly staging an anti-govt protest during the national lockdown, was granted RTGS$1 000 bails on 27 May by Magistrate Mateko, who ordered them to report once every fortnight at CID Law & Order Section at Harare Central Police Station.

Magistrate Muchuchuti orders 3 victims of abduction & torture to surrender passports at court to allay state fears that the trio could escape from Zim jurisdiction.
