Gospel artiste Mathias Mhere says he has discovered new avenues to supplement his earnings on lockdown.
In an interview with H-Metro, Mhere said the lockdown came with its own advantage.
“Yes the lockdown affected us here and there but it also came with a little bit of advantages.
“It is giving us time to bring our head together to write and work on our songs,” he said.
“Yes we are not able to do our routines that we were used to doing, going for shows or getting time to do rehearsals.
“We are no longer able to do all that but we have learnt to cope with the situation at hand,” Mhere added.
Asked what he has been getting up to during this lockdown period, Mhere said he has ventured into doing some projects.
“We have found out that we can get to explore new avenues like farming.
“Doing other projects apart from singing is something that lacked even for many other artistes.
“People could not set aside time to do other projects and during this lockdown period I have resorted to doing a number of projects,” Mhere told H-Metro.
Asked what else he was doing apart from his farming and other projects, Mhere said:
“I am also going about distributing food to less privileged families.
“As artistes, we have taken to Facebook to perform live there for example on NashTV.
“By so doing, we will be interacting with our fans.”
