List Of Co-operatives In Harare Ordered To Remove Their Structures

The City of Harare (CoH) has warned cooperatives to build unsanctioned structures on Crowborough Farm that the court-sanctioned removal of unapproved developments commences on 2 April 2021.

In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the CoH also advised other organizations that have illegally constructed structures within Harare City’s confines to remove them before they are forcefully pulled down.

Below are the co-operatives with court orders that have to remove their structures:

Crowborough Farm (Paddocks)

  1. City of Harare vs. Takura Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 6553/17
  2. City of Harare vs. United We Stand Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 7157/17
  3. City of Harare vs. Mushandiwega Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 7138/17
  4. City of Harare vs. Ideal Homes Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 7159/17
  5. City of Harare vs. Bantu Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 6555/17
  6. City of Harare vs. Igarwe Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC6550/17
  7. City of Harare vs. Progoti Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 7156/17
  8. City of Harare vs. Greenland Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 5382/17
  9. City of Harare vs. Mushati Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 7138/17
  10. City of Harare vs. Home of Angels Housing Co-operative: Case No. HC 6552/17

The above proprietors and any other persons (organizations) who have illegally constructed structures within Harare City’s confines are therefore advised to remove such illegal structures on their own and salvage some valuables or risk the structures being removed by the City.
