The KZN government is assisting the elderly to register for COVID-19 vaccine
DURBAN – The KwaZulu-Natal government has made provisions to assist elderly citizens struggling with the Electronic Vaccination Data System.
Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu said they have been asking young people to assist the elderly.
“But we didn’t stop there at just making that call, we have also ensured that all our community healthcare workers actually go to the communities and register those that are their patients and assist them into getting them into the system,” Simelane-Zulu said.
Meanwhile, 21 more vaccination sites are expected to be opened in the province this week.
Premier Sihle Zikalala says the sites will help cater to teachers who are next on the list for the jab.
