KADEWERE saddened to miss World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia
TINO KADEWERE says he is saddened to miss Zimbabwe’s World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia this afternoon.
He picked up an injury in the team’s 0-0 draw against South Africa last Friday and has since left camp ahead of this afternoon’s encounter in Ethiopia.
Kick-off is 3pm.
“It is sad not to be able to play this game because l always want to try and push myself whenever l am with the national team.
“And it’s sad that I am not available due to the injury,” he said.
The Lyon striker, however, believes his teammates will deliver in today’s game.
“But l know the boys will do the job. We have a very good squad that is bound to make history and l believe tomorrow (today) we will get maximum points.
“And I’m rallying behind my teammates all the way knowing what they’re capable of,” he said.
He said he will come back stronger.
“And as for me, l will make sure l work hard to come back soon and be ready also fully fit for the next assignment.
“I need to go back and work on my fitness and make sure that I’ll be ready,” he said.
