Kadewere banks on experience
Tino Kadewere says they can do better in the AFCON tournament if they take lessons from previous participations.
Zimbabwe are in Group B of the belated 2021 AFCON finals with Senegal, Malawi and Guinea.
“I think the draw is fair and also good for us because we have some quality teams and also one of the best teams in Africa so overall it is fair for us and also the other teams.
“Looking at all the teams in that group I think they are there for a reason and there is no small team right now in Africa so the most important thing is to go there with our heads up and believe that everything is possible,” he said.
The Lyon star said they have a squad that will do great for the nation.
“I think we both know that with great preparations and maximum focus on what we need to achieve.
“And also the love and support from home can give us the strength to what to do best and be able to achieve the best for the country.
“I think now maybe have gained a lot more experience on what is needed to be able to achieve our goal.
“It might be a hard road but i think we have a strong squad and with some strong preparations we can for sure do better,” he said.
The French Ligue 1 resumed last week and Tino has featured in one out of two games so far.
“So far so good as l got my first minutes last game, of course we have not been doing so well as a team.
“But individually l feel that l am getting better day by day and recovering fully from the operation that I had,” he said.
