Joanna Mamombe’s state application dismissed
Harare regional magistrate Stanford Mambanje on Wednesday dismissed the State’s application to have Joanna Mamombe’s bail revoked after she failed to report as stipulated in her bail conditions.
The state represented by Michael Reza sought to have the Harare legislator’s bail revoked following her failure to report on August 27.
In his ruling, magistrate Mambanje said the application was not supported by fact or law and lacked merit because Mamombe doesn’t have a record of absconding and she made herself available at the next possible date.
Mamombe is being charged for illegal demonstrations along with her accomplices Cecelia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova who is on the run.
