Why Java Is Not Partaking His Controversial US$210 WhatsApp Fasting
United States-based Zimbabwean Prophet, Passion Java, has spoken on why he is not participating in his controversial US$210 21 days WhatsApp group fasting program.
This comes after he was spotted feasting with Roki, Mai Titi, and Madam Boss on Heroes Day just a couple of days after declaring the 21 days of fasting.
After images of their luncheon emerged on social media, Passion Java was heavily criticized for allegedly ‘deceiving’ people.
The Fasting program apparently started on the 2nd of August and is going to end on the 22nd of August.
Speaking during a radio interview on Power FM with Phatisani and Tinashe Chikuse, Prophet Passion Java said that God is the one who instructed him to tell people to fast for 21 days.
When asked how the fasting program was coming along, Passion Java said that his church was fasting. He revealed that he was not partaking in the fasting but his church and followers were partaking in the Daniel fasting program where people can eat fruits and drink water.
He said even though he declared 21 days of fasting, that does not mean he also has to fast with his church members.
Passion Java refuted claims that he deceives his congregants saying that he is open to his congregants such that when he is teaching them during the fasting program, he will be eating.
He argued that he fasts on his own terms and not with everyone else. He claims that he is the “Great Major Prophet” as such, when he is fasting, he can’t be seen eating fruits or drinking water. He added that when he is fasting, he doesn’t even drink water or swallow his own saliva.
