. . .Spends time in intensive care

DYNAMOS captain Partson Jaure suffered a depressed skull fracture and is set to undergo numerous scans, the team doctor has said.

Jaure was involved in a car accident early Sunday morning along Prince Edward road and was rushed to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals where he spent the better part of yesterday in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

He had a CT scan at West End Clinic with team doctor Robert Musara saying they are monitoring the situation.

H-Metro visited the player but was not in a condition to speak.

“We have done numerous scan on Jaure, but there are still more to be done. We did a CT scan on his head and it had positive results.

“He has a depressed skull fracture but there is no internal hemorrhage (bleeding). This might take time for him to recover but he will eventually recover.

“He had no spinal cracks, his spinal is okay according to the x-ray results which is another positive result for him,” said Musara.

“The boy (Jaure) is responding very well to the medications and is gaining consciousness gradually expecting more recovery tomorrow (today).

“We will know how much time is needed for him to recover in the next few days but by the looks of things his damage is not that serious,” he added.

Jaure’s pictures (supposedly taken on Saturday) drinking beer with friends, started circulating on social media with fans blaming it on drink-driving.

One of the friends on the pictures spoke to H-Metro at the hospital but declined to be named.

“We were with him yesterday (Saturday night) and he left around midnight saying he is going home.

“He then left us together with Edgar. He went to drop Edgar in Kambuzuma and this happened when he was alone on his way home.

“He was not that drunk and we know he is one of the responsible drivers, we were shocked to hear this,” he said.

As this publication left yesterday, he had been moved to a private ward where he will be receiving special care.

Dynamos chairperson Isaiah Mupfurutsa pledged to support their captain full support at this time of need.

“Accidents happen and we now have to focus on the solutions. We are happy he is still alive and the results are testing positive.

“As a club we will stand by him. We will play our role. We will do everything to make sure he recovers fast.

“People should not judge him and should just pray for him for a quick recovery,” said Mupfurutsa.
