“I Was Never Yours,” – Mandela’s Daughter Responds To Suggestions She Must Quit ANC And Join EFF
Zindzi Mandela, the daughter of South Africa’s first democratically elected president and Nobel peace prize winner, Nelson Mandela has responded to suggestions that she must quit the ruling ANC and join opposition EFF.
Zindzi had posted on Twitter expressing her displeasure over the ANC’s stance on pre-independence injustices. She had said:
As a loyal and dedicated member of @MYANC I am heartbroken this happened to my Mother and many others under De Klerk’s watch. According to his interview, he justified this, therefore saying that my Mother and others deserved this aggression. What do we stand for?
Replying to the above post, one John Baloyi (@Dijosti) suggested that she should just join the Economic Freedom Fighters which is led by former ANC youth leader, Julius Malema.
Another social media user, [email protected]_monde, asked how that was possible considering that the EFF “has no respect for her father and condemns him as a sellout despite his sacrifice for this country..still don’t understand how this lady is so close to ppl who rubbish her father…”
Responding to the comment, Lawrence T Mabunda @LawrenceTM22 said: She loves the EFF, besides she’ll be good riddance to some of us
To this, Zindzi responded saying: I was never yours Bra Lawrence.
