High Court nails Mukupe, Zanu-PF
Harare High Court judge Justice Esther Muremba has reportedly ordered Deputy finance minister , Terrence Mukupe and the ruling Zanu-PF party to desist from disrupting rallies organised by the opposition MDC Alliance.
It is further noted that Justice Muremba ordered Mukupe and Zanu-PF to take necessary measures to prevent their agents and supporters from intimidating or engaging in acts of political violence against the MDC Alliance led by Nelson Chamisa.
It is reported that the order was granted after 6 MDC Alliance supporters approached the Electoral Court stating that ZANU PF supporters acting under the instructions of Mukupe randomly and mercilessly attacked MDC Alliance supporters and cars using stones.
Two MDC Alliance supporters Clement Daudi and Prince Mutebuka were reportedly injured in one such attack while a vehicle belonging to Coster Kazingizi was damaged.
