Harry Wilson completes transfer to Fulham, bids farewell to Liverpool

Harry Wilson has today completed a transfer to Fulham, bidding farewell to Liverpool after almost 16 years with the club.

The Wales international’s switch to the Championship side sees him embark on a new chapter in his career, having joined the Reds at U9 level and progressed through the ranks at the Academy.

A versatile attacker, Wilson achieved a senior debut for his country aged 16 in 2013 and later captained Liverpool U23s as he caught the eye with his ability on the ball, finishing and long-range shooting.

His maiden first-team appearance for the Reds came as a substitute in the FA Cup tie with Plymouth Argyle in January 2017, before he enjoyed a series of productive loan spells to gain further experience.

Time with Hull City and then Derby County saw Wilson rack up 23 goals in the Championship, and he subsequently spent 2019-20 with AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Having returned to Liverpool, he played his second senior match under Jürgen Klopp with a start against Arsenal in the League Cup last October.

Wilson then departed on loan again, heading back to his native Wales to link up with Cardiff City in English football’s second tier, where he bagged seven more strikes.

After participating at Euro 2020 with his country and initially joining Liverpool’s Austria pre-season training camp, he now leaves the club to seal a move to Fulham.

Everyone at Liverpool FC thanks Harry for his contributions to the club and wishes him the best of luck in his future career.
