Striking News In Chipinge: 15 Year Old Grade Seven Pupil Kills A Classmate
A classroom fight at Mwacheta Primary School in Chipinge ended with tears on Tuesday afternoon when a 15-year-old student brutally killed his classmate.
This sad incident on everyone’s lips in Chipinge happened a couple of days before the two boys started their final Grade Seven examinations.
It is said, Proud Simango was stabbed by his classmate (name not disclosed) on their way home from school.
Mr Richard Gabaza, Chipinge’s rural district inspector said the tragic incident took place outside the school premises around lunch hour, about 2,5km from the school premises.
Tichaona Mabhemba, an uncle to the student who stabbed Proud, assisted in this deadly murder and a Grade six pupil who witnessed this incident ran back to school to report what had happened to the Headmaster and rescue was sent but they found the murderers gone.
It is said that, Proud tried to run inorder to save his life, but he was shot on the leg with a catapult and he fell down and Mabhemba ordered the 15 year old to stab him, and he stabbed him on his ribs till he died.
The pupils, Headmaster, Deputy Headmaster and the parents of the deceased helped in the rescue but at their arrival at the Hospital, Proud was declared dead.
The 15-year old grade seven pupil and his uncle identified as Mabhemba were arrested.
