Harare socialite, Genius Kadungure, popularly known as Ginimbi, on Saturday took delivery of a 2018 Rolls Royce Ghost valued at a minimum US$314 000 or ZAR4,1 million adding to his already big fleet of expensive luxury cars.

The latest arrival adds to various others including Rolls Royce Wraith, Bentley Bentayga, 2018 Range Rover Sport Svr, 2017 Range Rover Svr and 2018 Range Rover Sport Lumma Cic.

Ginimbi took to Instagram to announce the arrival of his latest toy amid congratulations from many of his friends and one of them was Robert Mugabe (Jnr), who posted on Instagram:

“Congrats @ginimbi…but the G over there caught my eye more lol.”

In an interview with H-Metro yesterday, Ginimbi said he will continue buying every latest offering from Rolls Royce but will not be restricted to one brand.

In fact, he intends to add the 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63 to his fleet once it reaches the South African showrooms where Ginimbi wants to be the first customer.

“Why should I stop buying cars? That is my passion and I will continue buying them. When you have a passion for something it means you will not stop until you are incapacitated one way or the other. I am now waiting for the latest (2019 Mercedes-AMG) G63 to arrive in the showroom and I will be the first one to buy it, others will follow later.

“I love luxury cars and that is why I have lots of them. To me while others would buy flowers to make their yard beautiful I prefer to buy a new car. My yard is looking beautiful because of the cars and this latest one will be parked there for the beauty. I actually don’t know the exact number of the cars that I have right now.

“When I drove home it is now on 50 kilometers and I have no plans of driving it, it shall be parked at home. Everything about the car is in order and I can park next to the Zimra boss without any fear because I paid full duty and all the papers are in order.”

Ginimbi’s Domboshawa home resembles a car dealership but he says it does not mean he is among the richest in the country.

“I might be having many luxury cars but that does not mean that I am among the richest. It’s just that cars are my passion but I also have challenges.”

Ginimbi is in the gas industry and mainly operates in Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa while he recently ventured into the entertainment business whose major highlight is the upmarket Club Sankayi.
