First Lady Rubbishes Rumors Of having A Hand In Zanu-Pf Youth Fights
First Lady Auxilia Mnangagwa has trashed accusations that she is meddling in the internal power struggles which have enveloped the Zanu-Pf youth league.
The First Lady has been implicated to be the mastermind in the recent Vote of No Confidence passed by the Zanu-Pf youth league against youth league politburo secretary Pupurai Togarepi, his deputy Lewis Matutu and two others on allegations of, ”failing to protect President Emmerson Mnangagwa and treachery”.
In an interview with Newsday, the First Lady sensationally denied the claims awash on social media, that she was involved in the internal politics of the youth league, which was revealed by a leaked audio recording linking the First Lady to the Zanu-Pf league chaos.
In the recordings, Masvingo league chairman Brian Munyoro tells youth league spokesperson Yeukai Simbanegavi about how the first lady masterminded the vote of no confidence against three top executives.
” I was not involved in any manner or form. I am not on a salary that I would get money to throw at Zanu-Pf internal politics. It’s not my nature. I have no time for politics and that is why I have disengaged following the ushering in of the new dispensation. I want to concentrate on charity work and please allow me to do that,” she said.
