FAIR DRAW FOR WARRIORS
Zimbabwe have been drawn against giants Senegal in the rescheduled 2021 Afcon finals to be held next year.
The Warriors are in Group B along with the Teranga Lions, Southern Africa counterparts Malawi and Guinea.
The draw as held in Cameroon, the host nation, Tuesday.
The African football showpiece, which was set for January 2021, but pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic, will be held from January 9 to February 6 2022.
Going into draw, Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic had said he is ready to face any team with the sole mandate being going beyond the group stage.
Two teams from each group and four best third-placed will qualify for the last 16.
Group A has hosts Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Cape Vade and Ethiopia.
Morocco are in Group C together with Ghana, Comoros and Gabon.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been placed in Group D alongside Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.
Defending Champions Algeria are in Group E together with Cote D’ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Sierra Leone.
Group F has Tunisia, Mali, Mauritania and Gambia.
