Econet Hikes Data bundles
ZIMBABWE’S leading mobile network operator has hiked internet data packages to stratospheric levels, following in the footsteps of other operators Telecel and NetOne who hiked their tariffs last week.
For comparison purposes, according to the new tariffs, a weekly data bundle now costs $3 from $1.
A Monthly data bundle now costs $8 from $3.
Econet data prices hiked by 250%. Apparently Econet is selling meaningful packages as compared to it’s competitors. Econet sells 1 GB valid for a day for $5 and Netone sells $150MB for $3. You will need to buy 7 by 150MB to get a 1.05 G that’s $21 per day at Netone. pic.twitter.com/fg7CuXxZ86
