A distraught man has approached the Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order against his much younger wife alleging that she was assaulting him for failing to satisfy her in bed.
According to H-Metro, Tinotenda Mudevairi whose age was not revealed told the Magistrate that his wife, Moline Moyo was abusing her and telling him that he was too old to satisfy her in bed even though she knew that he was 20 years older than her when she agreed to marry him.
Narrating his case to the Magistrate, Mudevairi said, “She is my wife, but she assaults me saying that I am advanced in age and can no longer satisfy her…We are no longer sleeping in the same bed, whenever I try to touch her she assaults me saying that I am not her type.
“I am tired of living like this or else she should leave because I am not enjoying my matrimonial rights. When we got married she that I was 20 older than she and I think that she only wanted my money.”
An unapologetic Moline did not deny the allegations and instead told the court, “I assaulted him because he forces me to have se_x with him yet he can’t satisfy me. I tried to engage his relatives over his behaviour but they told me that when I got married to him he was old enough to be my father.
I opted out of our bedroom as I have a right to do so.
Harare Magistrate Noah Gwatidzo who was presiding over the matter ruled in favour of Mudevairi and granted the protection order against his wife. He ordered Moline not to abuse her elderly husband.
