DJ Fantan is back in the courtroom
Born Arnold Kamudyariwa, the popular wheel spinner is facing malicious damage to property charges.
His wife, Gamuchirai Nemukuyu, is the complainant.
Nemukuyu revealed recently that DJ Fantan has allegedly been subjecting her to various forms of abuse.
She is expected to take the stand as the trial opens today.
Allegations are that, in a fit of rage, the Chillspot co-proprietor destroyed their household property worth US$250, on May 2.
DJ Fantan has, however, denied the allegations.
The entertainer is also accused of soaking their blankets in the bath tub in an effort to try and ensure his wife would not go to work.
His wife also claims DJ Fantan blocked her canteen business at Stodart in Mbare.
Magistrate Rangarirai Gakanje will preside over the matter while Zebediah Bofu will appear for the State.
DJ Fantan is out on free bail.
