DIVINE LUNGA ‘FREE’ TO GO
Golden Arrows will not block Zimbabwe international defender Divine Lunga from leaving the club, an official has said.
Lunga is among the players reported to be considering their future else.
The Warriors star has been linked with champions Mamelodi Sundowns while other clubs are said to be monitoring the situation.
And responding to the possibilities of losing players during the coming transfer window, Golden Arrows chairperson Mato Madlala said they ‘cannot stop anyone from leaving.
“In this world you can’t stop anyone from leaving, there’s a song that says (Leave but you will miss me) so you can’t stop anyone from leaving, even a child you allow to play with fire so can learn,” said Madlala as quoted by Soccer Laduma.
Madlala said they don’t believe in stopping players or coaches from moving.
Lunga, who had a good season with Arrows which saw him being named man-of-the-match on numerous occasions, is among those expected to leave.
“So, I don’t believe in stopping players or coaches if they want to leave, if you see greater opportunities chase them, as Arrows we will always find new players, it’s very important to develop more players.
“If you feel you ready to leave for other opportunities, we will allow that.”
