Cyclone Idai Victims Being Denied Aid Because They ‘Belong’ To Opposition
Victims of Cyclone Idai in Manicaland have complained that the aid which was mobilised from across the world is being distributed along party lines with those suspected of supporting the opposition being denied.
The victims also alleged that some people who were not directly affected by the cyclone are receiving the aid because they happen to belong to the right party which is in charge of the distributions.
A councillor from Zanu-PF, however, denied the allegations saying there was no politicisation of the aid.
