Zim dancehall sensation Freeman says the situation is not permanent, people need to adhere to all the rules and regulations from the medical experts.
The free-flowing chanter has urged people to minimize unnecessary movements in a bid to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic which is affecting the world with Zimbabwe not being spared.
“The situation is very scary at the moment but what I know is it’s not permanent.
“I encourage people to follow all the orders from health experts and even the President’s orders to avoid public gathering in a bid to avoid the spread of the disease.
“I personally have suspended all shows with the immediate effect until further notice.
“This is in light of the coronavirus pandemic and government’s directives as well as efforts to control the disease outbreak,” he said.
“In the meantime I encourage everyone to fast and pray for the improvement of the situation.
“Please stay safe, practise good hygiene and preventive measures as advised by health authorities.”
Freeman also said he is not going to drop any song for coronavirus but insists people should exercise caution.
“I am not going to drop song for coronavirus but everyone is just scared of the disease you don’t know how it spread.
“We just pray that the situation will not be permanent so far I have not heard of any person confirmed positive but I just hear its now spreading in Harare.
“As an artiste I suggest that there should be a campaign where we tell people or educate them about the measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
“We have been really affected by the coronavirus in the sense that as artistes we get money through live shows,” he said.
