Paul Pindani in CHINHOYI
CHINHOYI Municipality has converted one of the suburbs’ beerhalls into a clinic. Ward 4 Hunyani Section bar was converted into a clinic.
When H-Metro visited the site, it was a hive of activity as workers, who have been busy doing renovations, were putting final touches.
Dr William Mayabo, Director of Health Services in the council said the project, envisioned and neces-sitated by the need to de-congest Chinhoyi Clinic, is going to be a state-of-the-art center offering primary health care products to residents of Hunyani and Brundish suburbs.
The doctor said this was in line with coun-cil’s mission to deliver effective and efficient services to its dients in the most convenient manner.
Ward 4 Councillor Brighton Mhizha welcomed the development saying it showed that the municipality prioritized the health and safety of its residents above everything else.
“It is clear that Chinhoyi Municipality, under the guidance of the Town Clerk, Maxwell Kaitano is pursuing a pragmatic and progressive development agenda which priorities health service delivery, alongside nutrition and food security,” Clr Mhizha said.
