Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Health, Dr. Faisal Sultan, told the media on Thursday that the Pakistan Committee of Experts recommended that the vaccine be used only for people aged 18 to 60 when considering preliminary analysis of the data, Hindustan Times reports.
Pakistan recently said that China’s Sinopharm vaccine is not effective for people over 60 years of age, a day after it began its countrywide coronavirus vaccination programme with Chinese jabs.
China donated close to a million doses of Sinopharm vaccines to Pakistan, and Zimbabwe which sent a special plane to airlift the jabs on Saturday.

Zimbabwe is expected to start Coronavirus vaccination this week after taking delivery of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccination earlier this morning.
